Tileworld was originally going to be a game created in Unity using C#, but the Unity build was shortly discontinued and development began on a site created with the free website hosting service "Infinityfree," with the URL tileworld.rf.gd, which nowadays is just a redirect to Tileworld. Then, 3DG bought the domain "tileworld.xyz" off of a real domain registrar, and used that domain instead, which is now the domain currently used. (tileworld.xyz) After that, the devs soon found out about InfinityFree's limits and complaints about the service, and switched to hosting the site manually (with SJB's help.) By then, the DOM engine was being used, but a few months go by, and 3DG decides to make another version of Tileworld using the HTML5 canvas, which is used in many web games nowadays. This is now the main version of Tileworld, but the legacy versions still exist on tileworld.xyz/game/old.php.
